Christmas illuminations in Naples

We have already glimpsed the first ones in almost the whole city Christmas illuminations funded by the Chamber of Commerce, but in these days a real plan of Christmas installations in Naples has also been presented which will have to cover 140km that will be positioned in 36 squares, streets, alleys and in all neighborhoods, even the peripheral ones.

It is a beautiful project very rich in portraying lights Disney characters, angels, abstract shapes and much more that will certainly not leave the city in the dark after the few installations last year, also due to the pandemic in progress.

The European Call from which this project arises has the value of 2,2 million euro.

The Christmas lights: here are what they will be

The project includes a Santa Claus of 10 meters in Piazza Municipioa Disney princess in the Galleria Umberto together with Cinderella's carriage, a great one angel with wings open in via Duomo in front of the Basilica with golden angels playing the trumpet.

Of course it will not miss a large Christmas tree in Piazza Plebiscito and it will be high 20 meters.

There will also be Dolphins e sails along via Partenope, on a maritime theme, Penguins e snowmen in Piazza dei Martiri, trumpet-like figures along Corso Secondigliano, sinuous shapes in via Calabritto, stars in via San Gregorio Armeno and much more.

In fact there will also be lights a Scampiain via Miano, along via Santa Teresa degli Scalzi towards the Mann and beyond.

When the lights are on

The illumination plan foresees the switching on of the lights already from the first week of November, in line with the other great European capitals that turn on their lights from November and turn them off after the Epiphany.
