Cinema around Vesuvius 2025, the program from June 23rd at Villa Bruno

Back to Villa Bruno the historical review Cinema around Vesuvius, organized by Arci Movie and reached hers 31 edition. From 23 June at 6 August 2025, the open-air arena of San Giorgio a Cremano will come alive for a good 44 consecutive evenings, with a program that combines films from the last season, special guests, tributes and cultural reflections. The screenings will be held every evening at 21:15, with ticket office opening at 20:00.

Inauguration with Martone and Golino: an evening of cinema and words

Monday 23nd June opens with a special event: the film "Out" di Mario Martone, dedicated to the intense and nonconformist figure of Goliarda Wisdom, will officially open the festival. The director and the actress will be in video link Valeria Golino will interact with the audience present in the arena. A work of great emotional strength that tells of creative freedom, the power of the word and the complexity of human relationships.

The first films scheduled: from Martone to Salvatores, up to Lilo and Stitch

The festival continues with a varied calendar that combines great Italian directors and family films:

• 24nd June - UltrasRegia di Francesco Lettieri
• 25nd June - Naples – New York, Gabriele Salvatores
• 26nd June - A daughter, Ivano DeMatteo
• 27, 28, 29 June - Lilo and Stitch, new version directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, screenings repeated for three evenings

A summer of cinema, memory and culture in the heart of Vesuvius

In addition to the film programming, Cinema around the Vesuvius 2025 will also propose a special evening dedicated to Giancarlo SianiOn the occasion of 40th anniversary of his death. A moment of memory and reflection to remember the journalist who symbolized courage and civil commitment.

The event represents one of the most anticipated events of the Vesuvian cultural summer, capable of transform Villa Bruno into a lively center for meeting, art and participation. After Massimo Troisi Award, the seventh art will once again be the protagonist in the villa: a cinema that excites, makes you think and unites.
