Cinemas and theaters reopen in Italy: it starts again at the end of March in the yellow zone

The start of the CTS for the reopening of theaters and cinemas in Italy: in the yellow areas it will be possible to start again.

Il Scientific Technical Committee gave his approval for the reopening of cinemas and theaters in the regions in the yellow zone starting from 27 March 2021. The technicians approved the request of the Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities Dario Franceschini, but setting some very precise and stringent rules.

With the issuance of the new Prime Ministerial Decree, this novelty will also be envisaged, which will have to be inserted by the Government.

The reopening of theaters and cinemas

As mentioned, this reopening will take place only in the regions in yellow zone and will coincide with World Theater Day. Anyhow, 15 days before, i.e. March 12, it will be possible to effectively assess whether the decision can be implemented based on the trend of infections.

You can only access on booking ed even on weekends, not only on weekdays. Minister Franceschini wrote it on Twitter. The requests provide for the occupation of only one third of the available seats up to a maximum of 500 people indoors and 1500 people outdoors. The CTS, however, has reduced these numbers, indicating that only the 25% of seats and the maximum occupancy will be 200 people indoors need 400 people outdoors.

The rules to be respected

Obviously there are rules to be respected to limit anti-Covid 19 infections. First of all, the public will always have to wear the mask surgical and tissue ones will be prohibited. THE bars and refreshment points will remain closed, so you won't be able to eat inside.

The doubts of the operators in the sector

Despite these signs of openness, Atip (Associazione Teatri Italiani Privati) has expressed some perplexity on the possibility of being able to open within 30 days without a adequate financial support.

The president Massimo Romeo Piparo emphasized the difficulties of private companies that organize shows without major state resources.
