City of Science: a summer of discovery, workshops, and fun in Naples

Naples, from June 1st to September 27th 2026 - The City of Science Bagnoli isn't taking a vacation, and for summer 2026, it's offering a packed program of activities for families, children, and tourists, all centered on scientific discovery and fun. This renewed and dynamic program transforms the scientific hub into a place where science becomes an experience, a game, and excitement for all ages.

What the City of Science has to offer this summer

Among the main attractions stand out body, the first interactive museum of the human body in Italy, where you can explore the workings of our bodies through hands-on exhibits and immersive installations. Also not to be missed is the exhibition Insects & Co., a fascinating journey into the world of insects, and the exhibition Sensations, an interactive journey through the five senses extended until July 26, 2026.

Throughout the summer they are scheduled science show, outdoor games, interactive experiments and hands-on activities for adults and children, to learn while having fun in a stimulating and engaging environment. Nights at the Museum and Planetarium shows, with evening programming as well, will allow you to travel among stars and constellations to discover the mysteries of the universe, giving unique emotions to astronomy enthusiasts.

Big news for summer 2026: Aphel, the small interactive humanoid robot, will accompany visitors to discover Corporea for an even more engaging and innovative experience.

The summer program at the City of Science

June 2026 The month kicks off with interactive workshops every weekend: live science shows (12:15-12:45 and 16:30-15:00 p.m.), guided tours of Corporea, Planetarium shows with afternoon and evening repeats (10:00-10:45 and 11:30-12:15), and special openings for visiting schools. Special activities with extended hours are planned for June 5th and 6th.

July 2026 The summer program continues with the same regular events: daily science shows, a planetarium with multiple performances (10:00-10:45, 11:30-12:15, 14:45-15:30), and interactive workshops for children. Guided tours with Aphel, the humanoid robot, are available every weekend. The SensAzioni exhibition remains open until July 26th.

August 2026 – Città della Scienza remains open in August with daily activities: science shows (12:15-12:45), planetarium (three slots: 11:30-12:00, 12:15-13:00), interactive workshops, and tours of Corporea. An excellent opportunity for those staying in the city or visiting Naples during the summer holidays.

September 2026 – The summer closure month offers afternoon science shows (15:30-16:00 PM), a planetarium with limited hours but still packed with events, and interactive workshops for all ages. Until September 27th, the last weekend before the summer closure.
