Also highly anticipated for this year is the wonderful Concert at dawn which will take place on the occasion of the Ravello Festival, this is the secular rite for music lovers and not, which will mark the transition from night to day.
The new edition, which will be Thursday 11 August 2022 at 05:30 on the stage of the Belvedere of Villa Rufolo, it will be even more special as theLuigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra, formed by Riccardo Muti, will be directed for the first time in its history by a woman, or by Erina Yashima.
Guests will be overwhelmed by the magical atmosphere of lights which will be created with the rising of the sun and the sweet notes of the Ouverture from Euryanthe, Op.81 by Carl Maria von Weber, the Symphony n.9 in E minor "From the New World", Op.95 by Dvořák and the 'inevitable Suite n.1 op.46 from Grieg's Peer Gynt.
Who is Erina Yashima
Born in Germany from Japanese immigrant parents, Erina Yashima becomes student of Riccardo Muti, becoming a rising star of conducting. She has currently been appointed as First Kapellmeister of the Komische Oper Berlin.
Yashima made his debut at the Arena di Verona, with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, debuted with the San Francesco Symphony, the Aspen Chamber Symphony and at the Colorado Music Festival.
