Coronavirus in Campania: bookstores and stationery stores open from 3 May 2020

By order of the Region for the Coronavirus emergency: in Campania bookstores and stationeries open after May 3, 2020, contrary to what was expected in the rest of the country.

After a temporary improvement in the situation and a slight decrease in infections in the last few days, there has been a new increase and this is why the President of the Region, Vincenzo De Luca, has established new restrictions.

In particular the restrictions concern the opening of bookstores and shops selling paper and cardboard from May 3, 2020 and openings only in the morning for children's shops.

New restrictions

Il retail sale of paper, cardboard, stationery and books is suspended until 3 May, with the exception of that already practiced in newsstands, hypermarkets and supermarkets and obviously via the internet.

The retail trade of clothes for children and babies instead it is allowed on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 08:00 to 14:00. In the week of 1 May 2020, opening is allowed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, always according to the same time.

Also the activity of construction sites on private commission is suspended with the exception of urgent interventions strictly necessary to guarantee the safety or functionality of the buildings, the adaptation of buildings for medical purposes aimed at carrying out medical therapies during the emergency period, the maintenance interventions aimed at ensuring the functionality of essential services.
