Covid-19: the new rules from 7 to 15 January with yellow, orange and red zones

Approved the new anti-Covid 19 rules in force in Italy from 7 to 15 January with a reinforced yellow zone and orange and red zones.

The Council of Ministers approved i new anti-Covid criteria valid in Italy from 7 to 15 January 2021. This last date coincides with the expiry of the last DPCM and, from January 16, a new DPCM will be in force which will be discussed and presented in the coming days.

There is talk of introducing a white area for the less at risk regions withopening of museums, theaters, cinemas and concert halls, it should disappear the time limit for bars and restaurants and could also reopen swimming pools and gyms, but we will see if this news will be confirmed with the new DPCM.

But what happens between 7 and 15 January? Regions fit into one yellow zone strengthened on weekdays and an orange zone at the weekend. Let's see everything in detail.

What can be done from 7 to 15 January

Throughout the period the possibility of travel with a maximum of 2 people, in addition to minors under the age of 14 towards whom the 2 persons exercise parental authority and non self-sufficient or disabled persons living together, to another house where you are not living together, between 5.00 and 22.00. This is only possible once a day. The return to the return to one's residence, domicile or home is allowed, but not to the second homes in other regions or autonomous provinces.

The ban on moving between regions and autonomous provinces, unless there are urgent and necessary reasons such as work and health.

7 8 and January

In these two days we are in reinforced yellow band and you can move within your own region, therefore also between municipalities. Bars and restaurants reopen until 18.00.

9 10 and January

On the weekend you enter forange ax and you cannot move between municipalities. They are allowed, for the municipalities with less than 5000 inhabitants, journeys to other small towns within 30km away, but not those to the provincial capitals.

From 11 to 15 January: the RT index is evaluated

From Monday 11 January the new system of insertion in the bands based on the RT index. With RT set to 1 you enter the orange area (currently the threshold is RT 1,25) and with RT at 1,25 (currently 1,50) you enter the red zone. Measures that apply "to one or more regions in whose territory there is an incidence of infections exceeding 50 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants".

We await a new provision which will be valid from 15 to 31 January, the date on which the state of emergency also expires.
