New vaccines for Covid-19: phase 3 has been completed for the vaccines produced by Moderna and Pfizer-Biontech, pending the authorization of the drug Agency for their distribution!

How does theItalian Drug Agency there are news regarding vaccines for Covid-19, in fact it has just ended phase 3, or the last phase of experimentation, of the vaccines produced by Moderna and Pfizer-Biontech.

Covid-19 vaccines: the news

Moderna and Pfizer-Biontech are two companies, the first from the United States and the second from Germany, which operate in the field of biology and biotechnology and which in this last period have worked separately on production of a vaccine that can be effective against Covid-19. 

Phase 3 has now been completed and in fact the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has received one application for marketing authorization (AIC) for Covid-19 mRNA-based vaccines from the two companies.

The EMA then it will assess the quality and safety of the vaccine produced by Moderna also called mRNA1273 and will release the results after one special meeting to be held on January 12 2021.

Similarly the EMA will also evaluate the vaccine manufactured by Pfizer-Biontech also called BNT162b2 and will announce the results of this assessment after the extraordinary meeting of 29 December 2020. We also recall that such a vaccine was already approved in the UK, which will be the first country to distribute it.
