For Christmas 2020 in Salerno the traditional Artist Lights will not be lit, but there will be Christmas trees and decorations!
It will be a Christmas different this of 2020 for the city of Salerno, in fact the artist lights, the traditional lights that illuminated the promenade, the course and the Villa Comunale of the city, will not be turned on due to the health emergency situation we are experiencing.
This was announced by the mayor of the city of Salerno, Vincenzo Naples, together with the councilor for Commerce of the Municipality of Salerno Dario Loffredo. An almost necessary decision given the prohibition of gatherings to limit the contagion from Coronavirus, in fact, the artist lights have always attracted many visitors and tourists to the city, and providing for the installation of the same would go against the anti-Covid 19 regulations.

However, despite the decision not to turn on the famous Luci d'Artista, in Salerno they will still be installed in reduced form of decorations.
In particular they will be twelve Christmas trees that will be installed in strategic points of the city, while the Christmas decorations will be placed in front of the churches.
In short, a gesture that wants to give one hope to citizens and let them experience the magic of Christmas.
