For the 2014 Memorial Day, the Municipality of Naples organized an outdoor cinema in Piazza del Plebiscito with films and shows

On the occasion of Memorial Day 2014, the Municipality of Naples, together with the Jewish Community of Naples at the Goethe Institut, has drawn up a program of events in memory of the victims of the Holocaust and of all those who were persecuted because of Nazism.

Among the proposals of the Municipality, there is the interesting installation of a outdoor cinema at the Piazza del Plebiscito for the day 27st January, the date on which this anniversary will be celebrated throughout Italy.

A large 60 square meter screen will be installed in the large space made available by the Piazza, while well planned 700 seats to enjoy watching the film and other events. In fact, not only will an interesting themed feature film be screened, but there will be the performance of some artists and the reading of poetic texts on the Shoah.

At the end of the event, on the stage organized in the square there will be a musical show. Let's see the program together.

17.30 hours: screening of the film "Train de vie", by Radu Mihaileanu

19.30 hours: recital by accordionist Generoso Veglione (Balkan and klezmer music)

20.00 hours: Mariano Rigillo reads 7 poetic texts on the theme of the Shoah

20.30 hours: “Choreographic movements on Arnold Schoenberg: A Survivor from Warsaw (a survivor from Warsaw) - Popular Dance Academy directed by Nicoletta Salernitano, curated by Associazione Napoli European Capital of Music.
