Punctual as always, this time the DiscoDays he arrives in Naples for his autumn appointment and he will do it on Sunday 12 October 2014.
On the occasion of its thirteenth edition, it will move from the Casa della Musica to the near and wider Palapartenope, already in the past several times the venue for the event.
Organized twice a year, the Discodays is the only record and vinyl fair in Naples and the largest in southern Italy. Between dozens of exhibitors, meetings, presentations of new musical projects, artistic exhibitions and records and memorabilia, his program is always rich and engaging.
Moreover, once again the collaboration with Radio Marte, for which we will meet the DJ speaker and music programmer Gigio Rosa at the microphones of the event.
Proceeding, however, with order, we want to present you in detail the program of this October date.

Opening at 10.00
Presentation of the latest discographic work of “Vermeer's Brushes”, the concept album “NoiaNoir” (Marotta & Cafiero). An ironic work dedicated to the information system that is created around crime news cases.
At the same time, there will be the presentation of the latest album "Dramedy" (September 2014) of the "The Shak & Speares" (Freak House) folk-rock band that has already trod the main-stage of the Neapolis Festival.

Vinyl DJ Set with the participation of “Save the Vinyl” and “Vinyl. Session ". Eight DJs will compete for an hour with vinyl grooves as a ring, to return to the essence of being Disc Jockey.

Discodays Award assigned to Tony Esposito.
The award is the most important recognition of the fair and this year is given to singer-songwriter and percussionist Tony Esposito for its rhythmic versatility, a perfect combination of world music, ethnic, funk and jazz, which has given an important imprint to "Neapolitan Power".
Tony Esposito will present a preview of the album “Kostabeat!”, Created in collaboration with the American painter and composer Mark Kostabi and whose songs move between electronic, dance, jazz and improvisation. Kostabi is also the author of the album covers.
After the presentation, there will be a meeting with the fans for the autographs.
Delivery of the Festival Network Award to "JFK and His Beautiful Blonde" for the ability to be able to communicate and transmit their art, always managing to involve the public, naturally, spontaneity and fidelity to their artistic vein.

Exhibition of the Neapolitan Song Festival by Antonio Sciotti
Antonio Sciotti is one of the deepest connoisseurs and experts of the Neapolitan song and his exhibition is dedicated to the Neapolitan Song Festival. This event was organized by Rai from 1952 to 1970 and was attended by artists of great popularity such as Domenico Modugno, Ornella Vanoni, Giorgio Gaber, Don Backy, Teo Teocoli, Claudio Villa, Equipe 84, Fred Bongusto, Tony Dallara, Johnny Dorelli, Iva Zanicchi and many others. Foreign artists such as Lara Saint Paul, Dean Reed, Mei Lang Chang, Anna German also took part in the Festival.
The showcases of the exhibition are divided by gender: there are those dedicated to the vinyl record (both 78 and 45 laps); those on the most beautiful covers of the musical scores; those dedicated to hall programs; those for the so-called flying leaves (huge sheets containing the lyrics of all twenty songs of the Festival); those dedicated to specialized magazines that dealt with the topic in depth.
Art exhibition by Alessandro Ferrara
Sandro Ferrara is a real rock painter, expert in a very particular technique: painting on vinyl. With his skill, Ferrara paints the most illustrious artists on vinyl records and, since the 80s, he has painted hundreds of rock stars. His activity is fundamental for the ecological recovery of vinyl.
During the day it will also be possible to witness the creation of works extemporaneously as the artist will paint the guests of the Discodays in real time. One of his works will be dedicated to Tony Esposito, winner of the Discodays Award and to whom a painting on vinyl will be delivered.
Photo Exhibition "Music in Shots"
Now in its fourth edition, this year too there will be an appointment with the photography competition, which combines music and photographic art. You will be able to admire the ten most voted photos by fans on the Discodays facebook page. These will then be evaluated by a jury of experts present there and the winner will participate with his own photographic exhibition at the next edition of DiscoDays.
Competition
All visitors to the Discodays will be able to register upon their arrival at the fair and participate in the extraction of a ticket for the Claudio Baglioni's concert at the Palapartenope on November 25th.
