Where La Preside is filmed. Luisa Ranieri and Zingaretti in Naples for the new Rai series.

Three days of filming in the streets of the neighborhood San Giovanni a Teduccio for the new TV series “The Headmistress”, produced by Rai and inspired by the true story of Eugenia Carfora, the headmistress of the Morano Institute in Caivano, a symbol of redemption and legality in the difficult context of the Parco Verde.
The protagonist of the fiction is Luisa Ranieri, in the role of the Principal. Her husband also appears in the cast alongside her Luca Zingaretti, directed by Luca Miniero and with a screenplay signed by Christian Farina, already creator of Mare Fuori. A production that aims to tell, through fiction, the challenges and passion of those who choose to stay and change things from within.
Where La Preside is filmed: location in East Naples
After the initial filming in the municipality of Caivano, the crew moved to Naples East, among the streets of San Giovanni a Teduccio, an area already chosen in the past for other series such as Gomorrah. In particular, filming is concentrating on via Happy, between via Taverna del Ferro and viale Due Giugno.
The Municipality has planned a temporary traffic device on the following days:
- 12 May 2025 14 pm: 30 22 to: 30
- 16 May 2025 9 pm: 00 17 to: 00
- 17 May 2025 8 pm: 00 14 to: 00
During these time slots, traffic will be prohibited to allow for the safe execution of filming. However, passage for residents, emergency vehicles and access to schools will be guaranteed.
A series that tells the story of the courage of the school
“La Preside” is not just a fiction, but a tribute to the world of school and to the courage of those who, like Eugenia Carfora, have been able to transform an educational institution into a beacon of hope. The choice to set part of the filming between Caivano and East Naples It is highly symbolic: they are difficult territories, but also full of humanity, stories and a desire for redemption.
The series will air soon on Rai 1 and promises to make you think, feel emotions and tell of a less glossy but more real Naples.
