After the magnitude 1.5 earthquake 4.4 of 13 March, the Municipality of Naples has activated the waiting and reception areas provided for by the Municipal Emergency Plan for Seismic Risk. These spaces are essential to guarantee initial support to the population, offering a safe place to gather while waiting for further instructions. The areas are equipped with gazebo, toilets and basic necessities, with the constant presence of civil protection operators, local police and social services.

In the event of an earthquake, local authorities recommend reach the designated waiting areas. In Naples and Bagnoli specific measures have been prepared safe zones to ensure immediate assistance to the population. The main areas of reference are as follows:
Waiting areas in Bagnoli
A128 – Liberation Avenue
The area is located near the Bagnoli/Agnano Terme station of the Metro Line 2. It is one of the most accessible collection points for residents of the area, with direct connections to public transport.
A125 – Agnano Hippodrome Square
Placed inside the Agnano Hippodrome parking lot, this area is equipped to accommodate a large number of people and represents a strategic point of reference for the population in the event of evacuation.
Former NATO Base of Bagnoli
THEformer NATO base of Bagnoli has been a point of reference for many citizens during seismic emergencies. Although access is not always guaranteed, its large open area makes it an option for those seeking a safe gathering point. The community has repeatedly requested the establishment of a permanent tent city on this site to respond to the needs of the population in the event of prolonged crises.
Reception area for overnight stay
Municipality 10 – Via Acate
For those who need to spend the night away from home, the Municipality of Naples has set up a reception area in the headquarters of the Municipality 10, equipped with immediately available beds.
Coordination of operations
Following significant seismic events, the Municipal Operations Center (COC), which coordinates emergency interventions and provides updates to the population. The Municipality of Naples invites citizens to follow official communications and to go to the waiting areas only if they are safe and without putting your safety at risk.
