At the Stufe di Nerone in Bacoli, fascinating evenings of theater on the water, among migrants, Chekhov and Shakespeare
For four consecutive Sundays at the Stufe di Nerone in Bacoli, on 7, 14, 21 and 28 July, the eighth edition of the review is held Drifting Theater (the theater on the raft), designed by Ernesto Colutta and Giovanni Meola, who signed his artistic direction for the seventh year in a row.
It is a theatrical review unique on the Italian scene and also on a fixed date in the Phlegraean area. The program has a strong impact and, as he uses to say, alternative.
Its salient feature is that the shows go on stage on a raft floating on the water; it is a structure built to the need and placed inside the circular lake of the Stufe di Nerone.
The highly evocative scenario, the distance from the chaos of the city, the "nautical" nature of the stage space, all contribute to the success of this review, so much so that the audience increases year after year.
