Campania Regional Elections 2025: How and When to Vote
Le Campania regional elections 2025 allow you to choose the President of the Region and the fifty members of the Regional Council. Informed participation reduces the risk of errors and clarifies how the green ballot paper used to cast votes, preferences, and split votes works.
When do you vote?
The Campania regional elections are taking place over two days. Polls are scheduled to open on Sunday 23 November 2025, from 7am to 23pm, and Monday 24 November 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The counting begins immediately after the polls close. Voters must arrive by the indicated times, as there are no exceptions. The two-day time slot allows for a spread out voter turnout, reducing waiting times and congestion. For many citizens, the choice of day will depend on personal or work commitments, but it's important to remember that voting can only be done during the official voting windows.
Where do you vote?
Each voter must go exclusively to the polling station indicated on the electoral cardThe section reports both the number and the address of the assigned office. To vote, you must bring two documents: your electoral card and a valid identity document.
Identity cards, passports, and driver's licenses are accepted for identification purposes. Once you arrive at the polling station, the presiding officer will verify your identity and the validity of your documents before handing out your green ballot. You cannot freely choose your location, and you cannot vote in a municipality other than your own.

How to vote for Campania's 2025 regional councilors
The preferences section allows you to indicate up to two candidates belonging to the same list. The vote must respect the gender equalityIf two preferences are expressed, one must refer to a male candidate and the other to a female candidate from the same list. If two preferences are expressed of the same gender, only the first indicated preference will be counted. Only one name may be indicated, with no gender restrictions. The name must be clearly written and must include at least the candidate's surname. Preferences are a tool for guiding the composition of the Regional Council and strengthening territorial representation.
Validity and errors to avoid
To ensure the validity of the vote, it is necessary to avoid additional markings, unnecessary symbols, or notes outside the designated spaces. Any markings that could indicate the voter's identity may invalidate the ballot. After voting, the ballot must be folded along the pre-prepared lines and returned to the polling station attendant.
