Esedra in Fiore, water lilies, and aerial dance at the Mostra d'Oltremare.

On Sunday, September 20, 2026 , the Fontana dell'Esedra, in the heart of the Mostra d'Oltremare in Naples, hosts Esedra in Fiore , a free evening of nature, music, water features, and aerial dance. The focus will be on the blooming of the water lilies grown in the fountain's water feature, with artists suspended in the air in front of the monument. Admission is free, but reservations are required on Eventbrite.

Water lilies in bloom at sunset

This isn't a traditional flower show. The centerpiece of the event is the blooming of the water lilies grown in the fountain's water mirror , the result of a project conceived and curated by master artist Vincenzo Di Vaio . The public will be able to observe them at sunset, as the natural light gradually changes the appearance of the fountain and the surrounding landscape.

The water, petals, and architecture of the Exhibition thus transform into a moving canvas, accompanying visitors from the last light of day until dusk. An experience designed to be enjoyed calmly, unhurriedly, precisely when the monumental park reveals its most evocative side.

Aerial Suite No. 0, FUNa's performance

The naturalistic section is accompanied by Aerea Suite N.0 , a performance by FUNa . The show brings artists suspended on aerial structures in front of the Esedra Fountain, performing choreographed movements accompanied by music.

Dance, water, and the monumental setting become elements of a single performance, complemented by the fountain's water features. The result is a continuous dialogue between the flying bodies and the surrounding scenery, in an evening that unites nature and live performance.

A farewell to the city for the end of summer

The initiative was also organized to enhance and rediscover one of the most iconic historic sites of the Mostra d'Oltremare , transforming the blooming of the water lilies into an event open to the city and a symbolic farewell to the end of summer. On the same day, the Mostra d'Oltremare swimming pool closes its season , while the fountain returns to its spotlight, as it did in the years when it hosted the water and light shows that enchanted the public.

The September 20th event brings one of the symbols of the Fuorigrotta park back to center stage, in a new guise that blends botany, aerial dance, and live music.
