Evacuation drill of the Phlegraean Fields in Naples, Bacoli and Pozzuoli

Il 12 October 2024, from 9:00 to 13:00, the Campi Flegrei will be the scene of a major national volcanic risk exercise. The event is designed to test evacuation procedures and actively involve the community in emergency management.

Areas that will be tested

Residents and visitors are invited to participate in the exercise to experience first-hand the assisted removal procedures. The test will involve specific waiting and meeting areas, following the municipal and regional evacuation plan:

• Area B1 (Bagnoli District): Gathering in Viale della Liberazione, with transfer to the RFI Napoli Centrale station.
• Area C1 (Chiaiano District): Meeting in Via Leonardo Bianchi, Monaldi parking lot, with transfer to Villa Literno.
• Area F2 (Fuorigrotta District): Gathering in Via Gian Battista Marino, with transfer to the RFI Napoli Centrale station.
• Area S2 (Soccavo District): Gathering in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, with transfer to Afragola station.

Logistical details of the exercise

Transportation during the exercise will be provided by buses from the Campania Region, which will take participants from the waiting areas to the designated train stations. At the end of the exercise, participants will receive commemorative gadgets and will undergo a registration test in the meeting areas, where they will also receive information on the reception plan.
