Summer at Corte 2024, cinema in the Quartieri Spagnoli: films and programming
Summer at Corte 2024, the unmissable event for lovers of great Italian and international cinema is back. As always the cultural event will take place in Spanish Neighborhoods of Naples, where the Court of the Art of FOCUS it will be transformed into a spectacular cinema arena with evenings of screenings and meetings with the protagonists of cinema.
Screenings will take place from June 27th to August 31th.
Who organizes Summer at Court 2024
Summer at Corte 2024 will be held from June 27th to August 31th both at Court of the Art of FOQUS, Located in via Portacarrese in Montecalvario 69, in the Spanish Neighborhoods of Naples. The event is organized by FOQUS-Fondazione Quartieri Spagnoli in collaboration with Zen House and the Cinema and Audiovisual Course at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, with the contribution of Campania region through the Regional Fund for cinematographic and audiovisual activity.
The Summer at Court Program 2024
THESummer at Corte 2024 will present further 50 titles among which we particularly note films such as “Palazzina Laf”, “I Captain”, "Commander" e “Civil War”.
The program is organized into different thematic sections:
- So Far So Close: a window on the cinematography of distant cultures with films from Norway, Finland, Sweden, Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, Bhutan, Estonia, Iceland.
- France today: focus on the works of French directors such as Mathieu Kassovitz, Michel Gondry, Robert Guédiguian, Cedric Khan, Nathan Ambrosioni.
- A look at the world of documentaries: central section of the festival which presents documentaries by directors such as Daniele Vicari, Francesco Lettieri, Nicolas Philibert, Wim Wenders.
- Campania and surroundings: the best regional film productions with directors like Marco D'Amore, Fabio Massa, Lorenzo Cammisa, Alessandra Cutolo.
- It's Italian Author Cinema: a selection of contemporary Italian arthouse films by directors such as Alice Rohrwacher, Emma Dante, Michele Riondino, Matthew Garrone.
- Family life: films designed for a general audience, with works by directors such as Yorgos Lanthimos, Aki Kaurismäki, Woody Allen, Ken Loach, Hayao Miyazaki, Denis Villeneuve..

Guests and meetings
During Summer at Corte 2024, we will have the opportunity to participate in numerous meetings with the protagonists of Italian cinema. Among the most anticipated events:
- Edoardo De Angelis, who will present his film "Commander", already in competition at the Venice Film Festival and nominated for several David di Donatello awards.
- Fabio Massa and the cast of “Global Harmony”, a film awarded in numerous international festivals.
- Lorenzo Cammisa, who will discuss his film "Thirty three".
- Alessandra Cutolo, who will present his documentary “Mother Mercy”.
Furthermore, there will be moments of dialogue between the public and film critics from Campania organized in collaboration with the National Union of Italian Film Critics (SNCCI), to analyze four films on the bill.
Early evening screenings for the young promises of cinema
One of the most interesting new features of Summer at Corte 2024 is represented by the early evening screenings which will feature young cinema talents. Before the evening screenings, short audiovisual works created by the students of the Cinema and Audiovisual Course at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples and Master in Cinema and TV of the “Suor Orsola Benincasa” University. A unique showcase for young filmmakers that allows them to show their works to the general public and approach the professional world of cinema.
Ticket prices
Tickets for screenings of Italian and European films will be available at the special price of 3.5 euros, thanks to the promotion of the Ministry of Culture “Cinema Revolution”. For other evenings, the cost will be 5 €. Tickets can be purchased conveniently online via the service Azzurroservice.
Where to park and active services
They will be available a bar and a restaurant where you can enjoy a tasty break before or after the screenings. Furthermore, a free internal parking for bikes and scooters.
