European Heritage Days 2020 in Naples and Campania with Museums for 1 euro

The appointments with the 2020 European Heritage Days in Naples are renewed with many events and guided tours!

Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2020 are celebrated the European Heritage Days in Italy, the exhibition dedicated to culture that now takes place every year.

Several museums, archaeological parks and places of culture will host various events including evening openings of museums whose ticket only for Saturday evening you will pay 1 euro, then again guided tours and digital initiatives.

All events will be linked by the same theme, that is Learning for life, to remind and emphasize the importance of knowledge and training. It will also be possible to follow the events on social channels of Italian Museums e EH Days.

Daytime events in Naples 

  • Guided tours and workshops at the Madre Museum
  • #Miscrosguardisulmondo 26 and 27 September 2020 at the University Library of Naples the summer photocontest.
  • The Library heritage between knowledge and suggestions: Sunday 27 September from 10:00 to 14:00 the Vittorio Emanuele II National Library offers an extraordinary opening to let everyone know the book heritage kept in it. Admission is free but with reservation required at the following place.
  • Guided tours of the historic headquarters of the State Archives of Naples: Sunday 27 September from 10:00 to 13:00 guided tours of the State Archives of Naples. More information on 081 0106151.
  • Visit of the new Herend porcelain acquisition: on 26 and 27 September from 09:30 to 12:30 at the Correale di Terranova Museum in Sorrento, a visit to the Herend porcelains. Cost of the ticket 5 euros. Information at +39 0818781846.
  • Pietrarsa a heritage to be discovered: on 26th and 27th September from 09:30 to 18:30 a suggestive walk among the period buildings exhibited in the Railway Museum of Pietrarsa. Full ticket cost 10 euros, reduced 3 euros. Information at +39 081472003.
  • Amabili Fragments: the riggiole in the history of the villa factory: on the 26th from 17:00 to 19:30 and on the 27th from 10:30 to 18:30 suggestive guided tours of Villa Campolieto in Ercolano and Villa delle Ginestre in Torre del Greco. Evening events in Naples 

  • Evening opening of the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum with guided tours, light projections and video-mapping repetitions of sculptures and paintings from 20:00 to 24:00. Saturday 26 September the cost of the ticket will be 1 euro. More information at +39 081 7324321.
  • The MOTHER for the European days 2020: On Saturday 26 September the Madre Museum will offer an extraordinary opening from 19 pm to 30 pm with the ticket at 22 euro. Guided tours also on Sunday 30th from 1 to 27. Reservations required at place
  • Images memories ... and music: from 19:30 to 22:30 historical-artistic musicalized path at the San Martino Museum in Naples. It will be possible to retrace the events of Naples and the Kingdom, from the Aragonese period to the viceregal period. Ticket price 1 euro.   • Opening of the Almost Home exhibition by Ryan Mendoza: Saturday 26 September from 20:00 to 23:00 ticket cost 1 euro. Sunday 27 September 2020 ticket cost 6 euros. Information on 0815808255.
  • A Walk in the Princess's Rooms: Saturday 26 September 2020 from 19 pm to 30 pm special guided tour of the historic apartments where Princess Rosina Pignatelli lived. Ticket price 22 euro. Information on 30.
