Also on Sunday, June 21st, the former NATO base in Bagnoli hosts the Platinum Plus Real Hip Hop Culture Festival , an event celebrating authentic hip hop culture and recognizing Naples' historic role in the Italian movement. The event is a large, open-air jam combining music, writing, breaking, and street culture, transforming the former military base into an international cultural hub.

Special headliners include DJ Premier , legendary producer and co-founder of Gang Starr; MOP , a historic Brooklyn hardcore duo; and Redman , an icon of the East Coast rap scene and one of the most influential artists in global hip hop.
