Agerola Potato Festival
14 and 15 August 2014
Back in the evenings of Ferragosto, a Santa Maria di Agerola, in the heart of the Lattari Mountains in an enchanting village overlooking the Alamlfitana coast, Enjoy the potato, Agerola Potato Festival now in its 12th edition. Visitors will be able to taste many potato-based dishes in a rich menu that will delight every palate. This year Gianluca Capozzi's concert is also scheduled!

A 'Chiena, the Water Festival in Campagna
16 and 17 August 2014
A Countryside, in the province of Salerno, every year there is a folklore event with very ancient origins that will refresh the next days of August. A 'Chiena (“The flood” of the river) is the Water Festival and consists of a special ritual consisting of divert the course of the Tenza river thus flooding the streets of the historic center of Campagna with water.
Inhabitants, visitors and tourists, on fixed days and times, can throw buckets and water balloons at each other during “walks” and “buckets” scheduled in the small mountain village. Don't miss the "Midnight chiena", the "bucket" to be held between 16 and 17 August at exactly midnight, when the city will be completely "flooded" for the last "chiena" of the year. Among musical performances, video projections and an unusual nocturnal scenario that will create an evocative and almost surreal environment that brings the event to its peak of charm, giving those present unrepeatable emotions.

Feast of the buffalo goodness in Matinella
until the 14 August 2014
16th edition of the Festival that celebrates the dairy delicacies of Matinella, in the province of Salerno, with the aim of promoting Buffalo buffalo mozzarella DOP, buffalo meat and other typical local products. Some local dairies will take part in the Festival. In addition to tastings and tastings there will also be conferences and debates on the filiero-bufalino panorama. From 11 to 14 August La Contadina dairy products will be served.

Feast of the Mangione in Baronissi

All the most delicious gastronomic delicacies of the Campania region come together every year to baronissi, in the province of Salerno, where they become the protagonists of the Feast of the Mangione. Visitors will be able to taste some local specialties such as mallone sciatizzo and grilled meat, typical sweets and lots of good wine. The event will be held at the Baronissi Post Office car park.

Festival of Typical Products in Sant'Agata de 'Goti

In the charming village of Sant'Agata de 'Goti (BN), in the Presta district, will be held a greedy feast that will offer all visitors typical local products. You can then taste the famous cavatelli, pats and beans, grilled pork, pork rinds and tracchie, tripe with beans and fried peppers. All accompanied by good local red and white wine. Strasapori, International Festival of Food from Strada a Vallo della Lucania

Lovers of the street food? You can not miss the festival dedicated to street food organized in Vallo della Lucania, in the heart of Cilento. The aim of the gastronomic event is to make Cilentans and tourists discover or rediscover some areas of Cilento by setting up an ad hoc food and wine tour. You will be able to take the opportunity to taste typical Cilento dishes but also "exotic" kitchens, such as the Spanish, Venezuelan, Uruguayan, Mexican, German and United States, including paellas, bratwurst, Mexican beans, Galician octopus, chicken wings and “on the go” burgers. The festival will take place in the hamlet of Pattano.

Traditional and modern street food festival in San Marco dei Cavoti
12 and 13 August 2014
Also in the small village of San Marco dei Cavoti, in the province of Benevento, there will be a special festival to celebrate street food. The Traditional and modern street food festival, organized by the Alta Gastronomia association, will present the typical local dishes presented in "street food" format. You can then taste the Marchigiano veal roasted on a Turkish spit and served in a sandwich cooked in a wood oven, a mountain "panuozzo" stuffed with caciocavallo cheese and Fortore seasoned bacon, the Neapolitan "scagliozzi" fried with corn flour and a pastiera of fried rice and served hot. All will be accompanied by excellent local white wine served as "Neapolitan sangria" that is left to infuse for a whole day with the classic "percoca".

Bread Festival in Trentinara

Feast of the Sea in Bacoli
