The set of the Genial Friend is open in Caserta: a special appointment to visit all the places of the successful TV series!

Il great set who hosted the recordings of The brilliant friend, the successful TV series inspired by the books of the mysterious Elena Ferrante, will open to the public.

In fact, you can walk through the streets of the Rione Luzzati, which often appears during the episodes, but also in the other places that appeared on TV and rebuilt with great scenographies. 

The announcement was made by Carlo Marino, mayor of Caserta, who specified that for the moment it will be open to visitors school pupils, but it is not excluded that the set will soon open to all fans and fans of the tv series.

The set of the brilliant friend

The entire first season and part of the second were shot in this set which was made in the industrial area ex Saint Gobain of Caserta and with its six hectares it is the largest in Europe.

It is therefore a real huge open-air film studio, in which they have been well built 26 buildings. It will therefore be a good opportunity for students to understand how one is born television series and where filming takes place outdoors in what then looks like a real neighborhood on TV.

Meanwhile, a Napoli, many associations that organize guided tours offer tours in the places where the TV series was set and, sometimes filmed: how piazza dei Martiri, where there is the Lila shoe store, Piazza Carlo III and then via Chiaia and Corso Umberto.
