In the ancient heart of Naples comes the 2018 Easter Fair in San Gregorio Armeno and the Decumani among art, tastings and popular traditions!
Il historical center of Naples, Unesco heritage since 1995, comes alive with the 2018 Easter Fair in San Gregorio Armeno and the Decumani. Many stories and places to discover during one of the religious festivities most felt by Neapolitans, celebrated in the heart of the city from 3 March to 8 April.
The protagonists of the initiative will be popular traditions and faith of the Neapolitans: the goal is to to restore value to solidarity, fundamental to creating a united society. To achieve the purpose they will be organized typical food and wine itineraries among the many restaurants and clubs in the area, which during the Easter period offer specialties such as Casatiello and pastiera. For example, La Cantina del Sole, le Taverns from Carmine and Campagnola, the pastry shops Angelo carbone, Mazzarro, Capparell, there will be i typical lemon liqueurs di Piazza San Gaetano and pizzas of the Pizzeria dell'Angelo.
Not just food, though: the Easter Fair puts at the center the skill of the craftsmen that have made the road to San Gregorio Armeno known throughout the world. In particular, will relive the tradition of the Easter nativity scene, in which are represented the Christian scenes of the Resurrection and the Passion of Jesus.
The workshop of the Capuano brothers exhibits the Easter nativity scene, the bottega Ferrara exhibits a Veronica, while the Alpa workshop is a Via Crucis in terracotta and in the same way they will do other shops.
