FantaSia Book Party: Naples Becomes the Capital of Fantasy
Naples opens its doors to an event that promises to transform reading into an immersive experience. FantaSia Book Party, scheduled on 15 and 16 2025 November to the Mostra d'Oltremare, is not a simple book fair but a true journey into the heart of fantasy. Two days dedicated to authors, editors, illustrators and readers who share a passion for imaginary worlds. The initiative, organized by SEV Management, combines insight, entertainment, and creativity, offering each participant the opportunity to come into direct contact with new voices in the genre and the great protagonists of fantasy fiction.
Why the FantaSia Book Party is more than a book fair
The FantaSia Book Party was born to give life to an experience that goes beyond reading, combining meetings, shows and training sessions. The goal is to create a dynamic environment where readers can interact with international and Italian authors, exploring behind the scenes of the fantasy world.
The program provides thematic panels, workshops and presentations which touch on topics such as worldbuilding and language, romance trends, the evolution of sagas, and children's writing. Among the most anticipated guests are Christopher Buehlman, Cecy Robson, Kaylie Smith, Penn Cole and Oliver Darkshire, together with well-known names of the Italian scene such as Luca Tarenzi, Cecilia Randall, Sara A. Benatti, and Flavia Imperi.
In addition to professional meetings, the event includes Cosplay contest, meet & greet, and interactive activities, designed to engage the public in an atmosphere of participation and discovery. Each space becomes part of an imaginary world to be experienced and explored.
What activities and events await participants?
During the weekend, the Mostra d'Oltremare will be transformed into a great fantasy stageThe opening day will see the official opening with the ceremony and literary cosplay contest, followed by the panel Fantasy vs. Romantasy – The Match of the Century, with leading authors of the Italian scene.
Among the most anticipated presentations stand out Heat of the Everflame di Penn Cole, The Road of Bones to Demi Winters e The Black Tongue Thief to Christopher Buehlman. At the same time, the Workshop room will host writing, worldbuilding and language creation workshops with authors such as Elizabeth Ricciuti e Christian Antonini.
There is also space for the younger ones with sections dedicated to children's fiction and gamebooks, while fans of classic fantasy will be able to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe with a meeting organized by the Tolkienian Paths.
