Befana Festival in Città della Scienza with many events and workshops for children

The city of science is back Feast of the Befana, after last year's break due to the pandemic, and promises to entertain not only children, but even the biggest ones, with many engaging activities.

On January 6, 20221 there will be:

  • a live show;
  • an incredible science show to “touch” a comet;
  • bingo in a scientific key;
  • Planetary;
  • Corporeal;
  • many workshops;
  • of course the flying Befana.

Children can give free rein to their imagination with the WORKSHOPS and events designed for the little ones in a fun way, but which will also make them learn many important scientific notions.
There will be visits to the 3D Planetarium discovering the Universe and a journey into the Human Body with Corporea.

There will also be a sweet surprise for everyone.

Insects & Co Live Show

Discovering the more varied insects in nature, from the big ones to the smaller ones, not disdaining the most poisonous ones. There will be real insects, but also models and the attention will be focused on a group of very feared invertebrates. On January 6 we will find out what it is!

Not the usual comet! - Science show

With the communicators of Le Nuvole, children they will learn how to create a comet using water, soil, sand, ammonia, coal and dry ice, that is the elements that compose it. In this way they will learn many things about comets which are characterized by a tail and a luminous hair.

Scientific bingo

A scientific game that stages the most classic Christmas party game, associated with the traditional Neapolitan grimace. In this event scientific meanings will be associated with each number from 1 to 90 and there will be a giant billboard on which to experiment as well.

The old woman in heaven

An interactive laboratory to discover the secret of the flight of the broom of the Befana through experiments and interactive games. In addition, a laboratory to build the flying Befana.

Color Attack! - Creative painting

The little ones will be able to use markers, tempera e stencil to give vent to the imagination and have fun drawing on a long palette.

The visit to the exhibitions

The program also includes visits to the exhibitions "SARS-COV-2: THE VIRUS THAT CHANGED US LIVES" and "7 STEPS IN SUSTAINABILITY“, A path of 7 interactive exhibits where you can build an eco-sustainable and intelligent model of home.

How to participate in events

For security reasons, Città della Scienza can be accessed by following two hourly shifts:

  • 1st shift from 09.00 to 12.45
  • 2st shift from 13.15 to 17.00

Also, we recommend buy your ticket online on Etes or book (mandatory, if not purchased online) and then collect the ticket at the physical ticket office. Reservations can be made until 15.00 pm on January 5th.

For those who do not buy online, the tickets for the 2nd round booked can be bought at the ticket office from 12.30.

The reservation is valid only after confirmation received by email from the Incoming Service of Città della Scienza.

For groups of more than 5 people, online purchase is mandatory.
