The 2019 white fig festival in Giungano is an important gastronomic event for those who love the Cilento white fig
La feast of white fig 2019 in Giungano will be held from 22 August to 26 August 2019 going to offer great fun to those who decide to participate. The event has now reached its fifth edition and, as usual, it is organized very well by the Pro Loco of Giungano but with a novelty: the place.
To do so to create an exceptional event, the feast of white fig 2019 it will not take place in the village of San Giuseppe, a decision that will offer enough space to be able to offer all users a series of cultural initiatives including concerts. This event is important because culinary specialties based on figs are proposed. In fact, Cilento sausage with fig cream, sweet bruschetta with sweet ricotta, honey and figs will be proposed. Another very tasty dish is the white gnocchi with figs. We must not forget the salad with speck, ricotta, black pepper, wild fennel and figs. Two types of figs will also be offered:
- the traditional one with ricotta, speck and figs;
- the modern one with red and yellow cherry tomatoes with figs placed at the end of cooking.
To all this will be added the traditional dishes such as the ham and fig appetizer, fusilli with tomato sauce or fig sauce, caciocavallo hanged with fig cream, fig tart and the cheesemaker dish stuffed with ricotta and figs.
