Sweet date in Sant'Eustachio di Montoro, in the province of Avellino, with the event the Zeppola festival. It is a gastronomic event entirely dedicated to an ancient Montorese tradition on the preparation of Zeppole.
The event takes place at the Parco del Sole from 16 to 18 and from 23 to 25 September 2022. You will then have the opportunity to learn many curiosities about this delicious dessert, the ingredients and how to propose it at home.

Good food, music and fun
At the Zeppola Festival you can taste many variants of this dessert. Recall that it is composed of a soft dough of flour, water, eggs, sugar and butter or oil, which is then given the traditional shape of a donut, it can be fried or baked in the oven. It is decorated with custard or other creams and with a sprinkling of icing sugar. At the party you can taste:
- Fried Zeppole classical
- Fried Zeppole with Cream
- Fried Zeppole with Nutella
- Gluten-free Zeppole
In addition to the zeppole there will also be sandwiches with grilled sausage and porcini mushrooms, with aubergines in oil, chips, la wood-fired pizza, soft drinks and the excellent local wine. Lots of fun and music are also on the program, to spend some truly special evenings.
