Sciò Sciò, Femmeniell, Tombola and Tammorre: free music and games at the former Asilo Filangieri in Naples
Theater, music and bingo with Sciò Sciò, Femmeniell, Tombola and Tammorre at the former Asilo Filangieri in Naples!
The 20 February 2016, the show will take place at the former Asilo Filangieri Sciò Sciò, Femmeniell, Tombola and Tammorre.
The event, organized by AFAN (Associazione Femmenell Antiche Napoletane), focuses on Neapolitan folkloristic figure of the femminiello, which represents a man dressed in feminine clothes and with a frivolous and mocking attitude.
This year's edition will be dedicated to the Gennariello femminiello in color - aka Josephin Baker, son of the war, born to a Neapolitan woman and a French "ally" soldier of Moroccan origins.
The show will be divided into two parts. The first will be purely musical, characterized by the sound of the tammorre which will merge with other kinds of music and there will be theatrical interventions by Ciro Cascina, historical figure of the movement for freedom of diversity in Italy.
In the second part we will play the traditional bingo whose numbers will be extracted and ironically interpreted by the femminiello, who by concatenating the various meanings in a logical and chronological sequence, will be able to create a casual story with unexpected implications. In addition, there will be a musical background of the classic Neapolitan song.
A fun show that wants to revitalize one of the most ancient and popular traditions of Naples, in a period of cultural globalization.
