Barra Lily Festival 2026: Road closures on August 31st: restrictions on Corso IV Novembre and Corso Bruno Buozzi.

On Monday, August 31, 2026 , in celebration of the Festa dei Gigli di Barra (Lilies of Barra Festival ), the City of Naples has instituted a temporary traffic ban, with vehicular traffic prohibited from 20:00 PM on two streets in the neighborhood: Corso IV Novembre and Corso Bruno Buozzi . Here are the affected sections and the times of the measure.

Why are roads closed?

The measure is linked to the Festa dei Gigli di Barra , the traditional festival in eastern Naples that kicks off on August 31st with the Barra New Year's Eve . In the evening, starting at 21:00 PM , a free concert by Rico Femiano , organized by the Municipality of Naples, will take place in Piazza Vincenzo De Franchis . To ensure safety, vehicle traffic will be suspended in two sections of the area.

Roads closed on August 31st

• November 4th Course, in the stretch between Luigi Lanza Street e Corso Bruno Buozzi;
• Corso Bruno Buozzi, in the stretch between Giuseppe Mercalli Street e Prospero Guidone Street.

Restricted driving times

On both sections, the traffic ban starts at 20:00 PM and remains in effect until the need for traffic ceases , i.e., until the end of the event and the dismantling of the device. The measure is contained in the ordinance of the Municipality of Naples published on August 21st.

Getting around

Anyone arriving in the area in the evening is advised to avoid Corso IV Novembre and Corso Bruno Buozzi and use the neighborhood's perimeter roads. Those attending the festival are advised to reach Barra by public transport or on foot and to vacate the affected streets before 20:00 PM.
