Paranza Fish Festival 2025, fried seafood and music in Castellabate

From May 30 at 1 June 2025, the 14th edition of the Paranza Fish Festival go back to Santa Maria di Castellabate (SA) In the beautiful setting of Villa Matarazzo, a location known to the general public thanks to the film “Benvenuti al Sud”. Three days entirely dedicated to the valorization of local fish and the Cilento maritime culture.

Who is organizing the event?

The festival is promoted by thePunta Tresino Association with the support of local fishermen's associations and in collaboration with the Pro Loco of CamogliThe aim is to combine the gastronomic valorization of blue fish with the diffusion of the principles of the Mediterranean diet.

What do you eat at the Paranza Fish Festival?

The undisputed star of the event is the frying of paranza, freshly prepared with very fresh fish coming from the fleet of Castellabate. Everything is cooked in a giant pan four meters in diameter, capable of frying up to 25 quintals of fish, using High quality Zucchi oil.

Along the avenues of the villa, there will be food and wine markets with other local fish-based specialties, typical Cilento dishes and traditional desserts. The taste trail will be active every day starting from 18:00.

Other activities of the festival

The Festa del Pescato di Paranza is much more than a gastronomic event. Every day it will host conferences dedicated to the Mediterranean diet, meetings on the theme of marine sustainability, craft workshops, musical performances and a Luna Park for the little ones. The entire area of Villa Matarazzo It will become a village of taste and local culture, where the sea meets the party.
