Feast of Torrone and Croccantino 2015 in San Marco dei Cavoti with Christmas Market

Nougats, crunches and lots of fun await all the Neapolitan people in San Marco dei Cavoti!

From 5 to 8 December 2015 and 12 and 13 December 2015, San Marco dei Cavoti, in the province of Benevento, will be the location of the "Feast of Torrone and Croccantino" the historic event dedicated to taste.

The initiative, now in its fifteenth edition, will immerse citizens and tourists in a wonderful and sweet world characterized by the classic sammarchese nougat.

An ancient specialty that presents two main qualities, starting from Nougat Kisses, based on a glaze of sugar and cocoa enclosing a heart of almonds and hazelnuts, then move on to classic crunchy made with a mixture of almonds, sugar and hazelnuts nicely wrapped in a casing of dark chocolate.

From these two recipes many and very good varieties were born, from exotic ones toinevitable white nougat which, together with the traditional crunchy, can be tasted in the numerous stands organized along Via Roma.

In addition, to embellish the renowned party, there will also be a lot local crafts, typical and entertaining products shows with street artists and juggling, surrounded by landscapes, streets and lanes of one of the most beautiful and characteristic villages of Benevento. The will also be set up Christmas market in Piazza del Carmine, which will animate the party with Christmas items and products.
