Cherry Festival 2018 in Chiaiano in Naples between tastings and nature
In Naples we celebrate the arrival of summer with the 2018 Cherry Festival: in Chiaiano many tastings between nature and genuine products!
The program of outdoor events is enriched in view of the arrival of summer: among these also the 2018 Cherry Festival in Chiaiano in Naples, this year at the 47th edition. The appointment is for 23 and 24 June for a weekend of fun and genuine food.
The initiative is due to the Cherry Producers Association, which together with Coldiretti market will propose a tasting itinerary until evening. A symbolic and important event for the district of Chiaiano, which allows rediscover the peasant past and enhance their roots. In fact, recently they have been here planted 36 new cherry trees thanks to the support of the Rotary Club.
In Campania and in all regions of the South there is a strong link with the cherry, whose trees are grown in extensive areas. June is the month in which the harvest of early fruits is completed, while in July they come to maturity different varieties of cherry.
