Zeppola Festival in Montoro. Dates, stands and typical sweets

La Zeppola Festival 2025 returns to the heart of Irpinia for two consecutive weekends, bringing with it scents, music and tradition. The appointment is set for Friday 24 and Saturday 25 May, with an encore from the 30 May to the 2 June, in the hamlet Sant'Eustachio di Montoro, at Park of the Sun. A festival designed to promote one of the most loved sweets of the area: the montorese zeppole, prepared according to the ancient recipe and available both fried than baked.

How are Montorese zeppole made?

The secret of success is all in thesoft dough, similar to that of cream puffs, which is shaped like a donut, then fried in boiling oil o baked in the oven. Once ready, the zeppola is garnished with abundant custard and a tuft of chocolate cream, in addition to the classic sprinkling of icing sugar.

During the party there will be several variations available:

• Classic fried zeppola
• Fried zeppola with cream
• Fried zeppola with Nutella
• Gluten-free zeppola

A space also dedicated to those looking for alternatives for food intolerances, without sacrificing taste.

Not just zeppole: what do you eat at the party?

Alongside the queens of the event, there will be many gastronomic specialities prepared at the moment:

• Wood fired pizzas in various versions

The stands will open every evening at 19:00 pm, with free access. The chosen location, the Sun Park of Sant'Eustachio a Montoro (AV), is easily reachable and has been a point of reference for this event for years.
