Festival del Giallo in Naples, program and guests 2025

From June 5th to 8th, Naples becomes the center of Italian noir with the return of the Festival of the Mystery City of Naples. An event eagerly awaited by enthusiasts and professionals, which brings to the Campania capital over 100 authors, more than 60 events, and a dense network of collateral activities. The event takes place inside the Belvedere Palace in Vomero, in via Aniello Falcone, and is directed by Ciro Sabatino, with the honorary presidency of Maurizio de Giovanni.

Four days of paper crimes and chilling stories

Il “City of Naples” Mystery Festival offers four thematic days in which meetings with writers, talks, workshops and shows alternate. The first day opens with the series Netflix “Underwoods”, presented by the full cast together with the creator Barbara Petronius. Following, space for stories of mafia, espionage and Neapolitan mysteries with Michelangelo Iossa e Andrea Raguzzino. During the afternoon we explore the different Italian schools of noir, feminine writing with Susana Martin Gijon and true crime.

The second day gets into full swing with collateral activities. The section dedicated to Sherlock Holmes, edited by A Study in Holmes Aps, the official debut of the Campania Crime Writers Collective and celebrates the arrival of Loriano Machiavelli, a historical name in Italian crime fiction. The atmosphere is enriched by the participation of Joseph Sorgi, a well-known face of Zelig, and of many writers from all over Italy.

Familiar faces, sharp and straight pens on the world of noir publishing

Saturday is the day dedicated to professional and international meetings. The event attracts not only readers, but also publishers, agents, editors and editors. A rare opportunity to emerging and passionate to interact with those who work in the sector.

Murder Sunday: between party, music and Neapolitan passion

Sunday marks the grand finale with aexplosion of bell energy. The show is on stage Maurizio de Giovanni, accompanied by over 60 local writers united in the first Campania Crime Writers Collective. A closing conceived as a collective celebration of the Neapolitan talent, which exported the mystery novel from Naples to the world. Music accompanies the entire event, thanks to the Giallo-Noir Jazz Band and to the library choir I'm in.
