Ethnos Festival 2018: free concerts and ethnic shows in the shadow of Vesuvius

Ethnos 2018 Festival

Everything is ready for the Ethnos 2018 Festival, which will be held in the Vesuvian area and will feature free ethnic musical and theatrical performances.

From September 20th al 2 October, several cities belonging to the metropolitan area of ​​Naples will host the Ethnos 2018 Festival. Now in its twenty-third edition, the international kermesse dedicated to the ethnic music it will also focus on theatrical performances, tastings, workshops, nature trails and guided tours.

Artistic director will also be this year Gigi De Luca, with the organization of Municipality of San Giorgio a Cremano and the collaboration of the Campania region with the classification in the Campania Poc 2014-2020. Several events will also be held in the municipalities of Trecase, Volla, Casandrino, Torre Annunziata and Bacoli.

Ethnos 2018 Festival will open Thursday 20 September with performances of Omar SosaSeckou KeitaGustavo Ovalles. In the following evenings, there will be many occasions to have fun in the company of musicians, among others Arsene Duevi, Sandro JoueuxSoufiane SaidiGabachò Maroc ed Elida Almeida. To be noted for 28 the presence at San Giorgio a Cremano of the writer Erri De Luca, as well as tributes a Nelson MandelaMiriam Makeba.
