In weekend of 11, 12 and 13 September 2015 you can choose from various festivals depending on your tastes. In Ailano there will be the pizza party with master pizza makers who will prepare pizzas of all kinds, while in Strino you can taste the San Marzano tomato along with other delicious dishes with buffalo mozzarella or fresh pasta.
Medieval lovers will be able to take part in historical revisitations demonstrations of medieval weapons, in addition to discovering the ancient crafts and visiting the torture museum in the town of Cassano Irpino.
If you want to dedicate yourself to meat, you can participate in the festival of the pig of Apollosa and enjoy many recipes accompanied by rivers of good wine PDO and DOCG.

San Marzano tomato festival

Quarantine bean and potato festival
Il quarantine bean , potato of the Piana del Drago will be the protagonists of the festival of Volturara Irpinia which will take place from 1 to 13 September 2015. These are two typical local products through which we want to promote the agriculture of the territory and its traditions. The program will be full of tastings, but also of entertainment such as folk music , Marathon of the Valle del Dragone.

- 20.00 hours: opening of food stands and tastings of quarantine beans and Piana del Dragona potatoes
- 21.00 hours: music and dances with the Zeketam group
September 12th

Mother's Pizza

Return to the Middle Ages
In Cassano Irpino a special event in medieval style. Not only tastings of local products, but you can also attend the medieval re-enactments, shows, demonstrations of medieval weapons and historical processions. The event is organized by the Pro Loco Forum Felix which is responsible for promoting the territory and its traditions.
It will start on Saturday 12 September at 19.30 pm with an impressive procession that will welcome the arrival of the noble Gubitosa de Aquino in the fiefs of Cassano Irpino, remembering when the place was under the reign of Philip of Anjou. There will be duels, scrima demonstrations, archery, walks among the stands of ancient crafts and we will visit the torture museum. More, circus games, itinerant musicians, i Flag wavers of Cava de 'Tirreni, Trombonieri di Sant 'Anna, Bottari di Macerata and the medieval band Rota Temporis (from Italia's got Talent).
Finally, there will be a fireworks show to light up the night.

Sagra del maialetto
In Apollosa, in the Benevento area, a festival dedicated to the typical little pig that can be tasted cooked in many ways and in all its parts, like the exquisite ones legumes and baked pork fillets. But there will also be other courses to taste, such as egg tagliatelle with meat sauce, sausages, Ham e capicollo villagers, appetizer with typical local products and lots of DOCG and PDO wine from Taburno. There will be entertainment for children and you can visit the Cantina Francesca with free tastings.
