Spring Tales on stage at the Botanical Garden of Naples | 2014 Edition
The Botanical Garden of Naples will once again host the "Spring Fairy Tales", shows for teenagers and children inspired by the most famous fairy tales in the world
Back on stage, in the enchanting scenery ofBotanical Garden of Naples, the review Spring Tales set up by the I Teatrini Association and the “Federico II” University and created in collaboration with Mibact, the Campania Region and the Municipality of Naples.
It is the 18esima edition of the theatrical kermesse dedicated to children and young people, and which it proposes to the Neapolitan public more than 100 days of shows, where some of the protagonists will be the protagonists fairy tales more famous and widespread in the world. The direction of these performances will be entrusted, as every year, to Giovanna Facciolo, artistic director of the project Sensitive Scene, theater review for the new generations.

The stage of the Spring Tales will be theBotanical Garden of Naples, the garden of via Foria that will show itself to its little spectators in its most beautiful season, among the explosion of colors and scents of the many plant species kept here for over two centuries. An exceptional scenario for the fascinating theatrical paths between fairy tale and nature. The shows will be staged in the small amphitheater created among the olive trees and medicinal plants near the seventeenth-century castle incorporated into the botanical garden.
The review Spring Tales of this new 2014 edition began last 8 March and will continue until Sunday 1 June 2014. The kermesse is part of the de programming The Week of Beauty organized in Naples by Legambiente.

The Fables of Wisdom
Dates: 3 and 4 May, 11 hours: 00
They are all dedicated to tales of talking animals most famous in the world, and which from ancient times have spanned the centuries and civilizations up to the present day: The Fox and the Grapes, The Fox and the Stork, The Wolf and the Lamb, The Fox and the Crow, The Cicada and the Ant, The Hare and the Tortoise, The animals sick with plague, The wolf and the crane.
In the kingdom of Oz
Dates: 5 and 6 April hours 11: 00; 12 and 13 April 11 hours: 00
The Botanical Garden of Naples will be transformed into Kingdom of Oz, and will be the backdrop to the extraordinary adventures of the little girl Dorothy and his companions, namely the brainless Scarecrow, the heartless Woodman and the courageless Lion. Based on the famous classic of children's literature by the American writer Lyman Frank Baum, the itinerant fable will involve young people on a path of growth: “It starts with the lack of something that pushes the protagonists to search, find or conquer important parts of themselves to feel a little happier. And to do this you have to walk, move among the plants, therefore grow ".
Pinocchio's trees
Dates: 26 and 27 April, 10 and 11 May, 17 and 18 May, 24 and 25 May, 31 May and 1 June, 11 Hours: 00
Fable inspired by The adventures of Pinocchio by Collodi, the famous story of the wooden puppet who tries to become a child like everyone around him and to learn, in particular, to shy away from the false illusions that guarantee him easy rewards. And he will get help from his little spectators in his enterprise to become a real child.
