The great Neapolitan director Francesco Rosi will be honored with an extraordinary film festival

THEFormer Asylum Filangieri Naples will be the theater of an extraordinary one film review dedicated to the director Francesco Rosi, died last 10 January.

The initiative, 19 from March to April 9 2015, will propose 4 unmissable appointments, each one dedicated to a masterpiece belonging to the investigation cinematography of the famous Neapolitan artistic director.

Specifically i film proposed will be: Magliari (1959), Case Mattei (1972), Salvatore Giuliano (1961) and Men Against (1971). Smuggling, power, the mafia, corruption, war, human relationships and history will be just some of the themes addressed by Rosi in the projections reviewed.

Hot topics, often uncomfortable, that have ridden the years of Italian history and through which Rosi forces and challenges society to analyze itself for what it is. A cinema, his, which is the result of an intense and constant study based on documents, archives, procedural documents, and aimed at the dissemination of personal and social truth because "Making cinema means contracting a moral commitment with one's own conscience and with the spectators".

Furthermore each appointment will be preceded by short projections of some parts extracted from the Neapolitan diary (1992), a rich “Rosian” self-analysis in relation to one's work and career.
