In the Piano City Napoli 2015 festival, concerts and happenings will be organized in every corner of the city!
From 9 to 11 October 2015, the musical happening will take place Piano City Napoli 2015, dedicated to the world of piano.
Designed by the great German composer Andreas Kern, the festival opened its doors to all kinds of music, performed exclusively on the piano not only by professionals, but also by enthusiasts and students.
The places of events
The main venue that will host the event will be the Monumental Complex of S. Paolo Maggiore, but being an itinerant event, we can attend concerts in the living rooms of the Neapolitan houses and in other important places, like museums, theaters e squares.
Right in the picturesque setting of Piazza del Plebiscito, illuminated by the evening lights, on October 9 the composer Daniele Lombardi will perform, accompanied by 21 pianos, which will be scenically placed under the arcades, in the Ionic order of the beautiful church of San Francesco di Paola.
Sections of the festival
The event will be divided into different types of performances, from Main Concert to House Concertand at our City Concert ai Guest Concert. In addition, there will be a series of workshops and musical lessons for children and interesting thematic meetings on piano teaching.
Main Concert
The Main Concerts will take place in the Monumental Complex of S. Paolo Maggiore, during which there will be challenges on the piano between concert players, the so-called Battle Plan.
House Concert
House Concerts are reserved and intimate performances that take place in the welcoming atmosphere of the living rooms of the houses.
City Concert
City Concert takes place in unusual sites such as libraries or in public places such as theaters and museums.
Guest Concert
These are events promoted by external organizations (schools, hotels, commercial or private premises).
