Thanks to the Neapolitan Archaeological Group, the GAN, we will be able to participate in a new one free guided tour at beautiful archaeological site of Carminiello ai Mannesi Saturday 16 October 2021.
It is a real jewel of our archeology and it is a spa system including the mithraeum dedicated to the mystical cult of the God Mithras.
The site is not always open, but thanks to the commitment of the GAN there are frequent guided tours that allow us to discover this place that not everyone knows.
The spa complex in the historic center
Located right in the historic center of Naples, near via Duomo, the site of Carminiello ai Mannesi can be historically placed between the end of the XNUMXst century BC and the XNUMXnd century AD. Inside there is a block of ancient Neapolis where thermal baths on several levels were built.
Has been discovered after the bombing of the Second World War on Naples and these structures are among the few that can still be admired in the open air in our ancient center.
