In view of the opening of places of culture, some museums in Campania offer free admission for two weeks: this is what they are!

On the occasion of reopening of museums and places of culture, after the months of closure necessary for the health emergency, Marta Ragozzino, the regional director of Museums of Campania announces that starting from Monday 18 January 2021 some Museums in Campania will offer visitors two weeks of free admissions. 

We remind you that among the open museums, even if not free, there are the Museum of Capodimonte, Mother Museum, Pietrarsa Museum and Ruins of Pompeii.

Free museums for two weeks: that's what they are

Therefore, starting from 18 January 2021, you will have the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful museums in the Campania Region, for free. In short, an extraordinary opportunity not to be missed. Here you are the list of Museums who join the initiative:

  • Castel Sant'Elmo, Naples
  • Certosa di San Martino Museum, Naples
  • Museo Diego Aragona Pignatelli Cortes, Naples (from Tuesday 19)
  • Certosa di San Giacomo, Capri
  • Archaeological Museum of ancient Capua and Campania Amphitheater of Santa Maria Capua Vetere
  • National archeologic museum of Pontecagnano
  • Charterhouse of St. Lawrence in Padula
  • Teatro novel of Benevento

We also remind you that from today they reopen to visitors too museums and sites already free as:

  • Floridiana in Naples
  • Archaeological historical museum of Nola
  • Territorial Archaeological Museum of the Sorrento Peninsula Georges Vallet in Piano di Sorrento (from Tuesday 19th)
  • Archaeological Museum of Teanum Sidicinum Teano
  • Archaeological Museum of Ancient Allifae in Alife
  • Calatia Archaeological Museum in Maddaloni
  • National Archaeological Museum of the Sarno Valley in Sarno
  • National Archaeological Museum of Eboli and the middle Sele Valley
  •  Museum of the Dogana dei Grani Palace in Atripalda

The museums and places of culture of the Campania Region will be open to visitors from Monday to Friday, on Saturdays and Sundays and public holidays they will be closed to the public.

To ensure safe visits, all the necessary rules will be adopted as well as by law mandatory use of the mask, social distancing, limited admissions and reduced numbers.
