Wednesday May 24, 2023 will host the European Day of Parks and on the occasion of this celebration throughout the week from 22 to 28 May 2023 you will have the opportunity to visit the Vesuvius crater.
The free visits will be reserved for residents of the 13 Municipalities of the Vesuvius National Park, i.e. all citizens of the following municipalities:
- Boscoreale
- Boscotrecase
- Herculaneum
- Massa di Somma
- Ottaviano
- St. Joseph Vesuvius
- San Sebastiano al Vesuvio
- Sant'Anastasia
- Somma Vesuviana
- Pollena Trocchia
- Terzigno
- Greek's tower
- trecase
We also remember that May 24 is also the date that marks the establishment of the first nine national parks in Sweden and on the occasion of this the European protected areas, of which the Vesuvius National Park is also part, organize a series of activities to raise awareness of the biodiversity of these ecosystems.
How to participate in the visit
