Are back Friday of Herculaneum, the beautiful initiative that allows us to visit the archaeological site also in the evening only on Friday, for the whole summer, starting from the 29 July 2022.
There will be guided tours with night routes where we will be able to discover the ancient Roman city in a different light, with thenight atmosphere to make everything even more suggestive.
They are scheduled 8 evening openings until September 9, as well as an evening opening extraordinary also the September 24th for the European Heritage Days. For each evening the shifts will be from 20.00 to 22.30.
Edition dedicated to wood with Tableaux VIvants
This year's edition will be dedicated to Wood, building material but also of furniture, which will be the protagonist of the guided tours. Consequently, the protagonists will also be the wooden furnishings of Herculaneum, objects that contribute to making the city unique all over the world and that provide us with an insight into daily life during the Roman era.
The evening visits will be enriched by projections of lights, with images of wooden finds, but also from the originals Tableaux Vivants. As many know, these are representations that stage famous paintings, practically making them come alive.
The evening walks will be very suggestive because they will allow us to admire, in a different light, the ancient illuminated streets and there will be two cycles of projections that will show the finds that at the moment are kept inside the Park deposits. The projections show the photos of Luciano Pedicini and Luigi Spina.
We will meet Dedalo, mythical inventor of carpentry, represented by the Tableaux Vivants of the Teatri 35 artistic group.
The route in several stages
The path among the wooden finds of the Park develops in various stages:
- what was the Ancient Beach;
- the House of the Deers;
- the sumptuous villa overlooking the sea;
- the door slide the right wing of the Casa del Bicentenario;
- the Casa del Tramezzo di Legno, an example of a typical Roman house.
Parking for cars
