Naples Funiculars, the extended night time returns

Company ANM, after a long time, has again decided to extend the hours of service of some of its means, specifically of Funicular.

For the moment it will only happen on the day of Saturday 18 December 2021 and the lifts will be open until 2.00 in the morning, so well beyond the usual operating hours that arrive up to 22.00.

Which funiculars will be open late

They will do the extended hours Central and Chiaia Funiculars, hence the extraordinary service it will not be carried out by the Montesanto funicular nor by the Mergellina funicular.

Furthermore, we must remember that the Mergellina funicular is closed for many months and its service has been replaced by a replacement shuttle that makes its route. This is bus 621.

To compensate for the closure of the Mergellina Funicular, the bus 621 makes the following route: Mergellina (2140 funicular stop), Via Caracciolo, Via Orazio, Via Manzoni (2262 funicular stop), Via Stazio, Via Orazio, Mergellina.

Departures are from 7.00 to 20.00, but on the ANM website you can read all the timetables on weekdays and Saturdays. In fact, on Sundays the shuttle is not in operation.
