Anm and Metronapoli announce that the Mergellina funicular station will remain closed due to extraordinary works
We inform you that the funicular of Mergellina it will remain closed due to extraordinary maintenance work that it will have to undergo. This was announced by ANM and Metronapoli, declaring that the station will be closed for days of the 30 and 31 October 2013. It will reopen at 13 on Thursday 31 October.
The works were made necessary due to the rope that will have to be replaced. Therefore, for two days it will be impossible to use the funicular in question. To avoid the inconvenience, however, a replacement service was organized thanks to the 621 bus shuttle which will run every 20 minutes.
The shuttle will be on duty from 7 in the morning up to 22.00, starting from the ANM bus station in Mergellina. It will then continue on Via Caracciolo, Via Orazio, Via Manzoni (at the height of the funicular), Via Stazio, Via Orazio and Mergellina.
