La historic chocolate shop of Naples Gay-Odin has achieved a really giant Easter egg for the upcoming holidays in April, an egg he wants pay homage to the island of Procida which, as we know, this year is Italian Capital of Culture.
It is a chocolate work that is enormous, made following traditional recipes and that will surely amaze anyone if they find it in front of it.
It will come officially presented on April 1, 2022 at the museum hall of Gay-Odin in via Vetriera 12, at 12.00 and can be admired in the window.
Gay-Odin CEO, Marisa del Vecchio, specified that the tribute is to a unique and wonderful island for many reasons, from beautiful landscape to history, naturally passing through his own culture. All elements that have inspired writers, artists and directors.
The size of the Easter egg
This amazing Easter egg is two meters high, one and a half meters deep e weighs a whopping 340 kilos.
Every year the chocolate shop makes a giant egg by always making a tribute to our traditions and the enormous dimensions of this dessert can also be compared, symbolically, to the greatness of our traditions.
The beautiful designs on the egg
The Egg shows on the surface view of the famous seaside village of Corricella, now a symbol of the island famous all over the world. You can admire the typical cluster houses and marina of the '600, in addition to fishing boats with nets drying on the dock. In the background you can also see theVivara islet.
