Giffoni Street Fest 2019: on the streets of Giffoni Valle Piana more than 200 initiatives, 50 artists and 30 laboratories.
Back the Giffoni Street Fest. The program is very full-bodied and varied and embraces art in all its manifestations: from the Cittadella del Cinema, over 200 initiatives they branch out into squares, streets, parking lots and courtyards in the city area, transformed into theatrical open spaces and more.
But there is no lack of more canonical places, such as theOrange Garden Arena: these host theatrical productions suitable for all ages and family musicals.
This 2019 edition provides more than 50 artists, 6 thematic parties, besides 30 laboratories and shows on stage from 17,30 to 22,00 every day, 19 from July to 27.
The Street Fest 2019 program
The program is very dense and everyone can sew it the way they want. Here we only mention the most salient appointments.
The 2019 inauguration is entrusted to Il draaago of the Teatro dei Venti in Modena, a challenge between a knight and the fantastic animal returned protagonist of everyone's fantasies thanks to the worldwide success of Game of Thrones.
The 2019 Street Fest offers shows for everyone: the opening of the arena nights at the Giardino degli Aranci is with Matthias Martelli, who brings to the stage the first miracle of the Child Jesus, from Mistero Buffo by Dario Fo.
Born from the collaboration with the Teatro delle Albe, the international production Thioro arrives in Giffoni - Senegalese Little Red Riding Hood of the Accademia Perduta which, with Romagna Teatri, also brings to the stage the adventurous fairy tale Who is afraid of Iron Teeth ?.
And then Fiesta del Teatro Due mondi, The great game of Teatro Pirata and Mattia and Nonno, based on the book by Roberto Piumini, of Factory Compagnia Transadriatica.
A two-day program of the Giardino degli Aranci concludes with the great musicals, organized by the Caracciolo Academy.
Among the artists who will succeed each other on the streets of Giffoni, the Creme & Brulè Company with the Journey to the Center of the Moon, a show inspired by the visions of Jules Verne and Georges Méliès.
Another national preview this time, La giostra Carosello: a new creation that La Baracca dei Buffoni dedicated to dreams and fantasy.
And then the puppeteer Francesca Zoccarato, who has chosen an 'artistic craft' not common for a woman, performs in Variety Prestige.
After almost 5 years, Bernardone's grandchildren return with the show Hope hope hoplà, and the nightmare love of Jack and Sally of the Company MORKS.
For the second year in a row, the Mirabellas and their circus art with a 'family' dimension arrive at the StreetFest; and then the official double of Mister Bean, Arnaldo Mangini.
And again the Molino Rosekranz, Damiano Massaccesi and his romanticies, the rambling and touristic acoustic and itinerant orchestra The Tammaros, the incursions of the Eccentric Dadarò and the cycle-comic show of Madame Rebinè.
Magic and transformism with the comic-poetic shows of Luca Lombardo, Poubelle, and the performances of Mago Pablo, Mago Lupis and Mago Veramente.
And then the animated readings of Giacomo Bizzai, born from the collaboration with the International Illustration Exhibition for Children of Sarmede, from the Ferraiolo show, the historic Salernitan family of puppeteers who for generations entertains the young spectators of Giffoni, and from the chapiteaux Blink Circus vintage.
And again: the theme parties organized by New Age Animations: Foam party, Color festival, Bubbles party, Carnival party and Caribbean party.
Two shows close the 2019 edition of the Giffoni Street Fest. In the latest production of the Mabò Band, Mabò of colors, three clown-musicians project the audience into a whirlwind of colorful emotions.
To follow, the Compagnia La deliranza with more performances of Where is Alice ?, freely inspired by the novel "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll.
