To celebrate the arrival of the new year, a free New Year's concert 2017 in Scampia with a gospel theme.
Il January 1, 2017 at the Fabrizio De André Auditorium in Scampia Will be held the New Year's concert "Gospel, spirituals & carols", to celebrate the arrival of the new year. The entrance will be price quotation until all places are exhausted.
The warm and deep voice of Marina Bruno and her great stage presence will guide you through the traditions of the gospel and spiritual music. You will listen to songs of extraordinary beauty such as "Amazing Grace", "His eye is on the sparrow" and "God rest you merry gentleman", or unforgettable songs that manage to involve the audience with choruses and claps, for example "Oh happy day”, “Hail Holy Queen” and “Joyful joyful”.
The members of the musical quartet
To accompany the beautiful voice of Marina Bruno there will be four great musicians.
- Giuseppe Di Capua, one of the most talented Italian pianists who has accompanied numerous opera singers. He explored the classics of the Neapolitan song in a jazz-ethnic key and traveled through Gospel and Spiritual songs.
- Daniele Scannapieco, a saxophonist from Salerno, known and appreciated all over the world, has played his tenor sax for great artists including Henri Salvador, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Joe Lovano, H. Ruiz, G. Hutchinson, E. Reed, J. Locke and I. Coleman
- Tommaso Scannapieco, Salerno musician. He plays the double bass and the electric bass, he knows different musical instruments and this has allowed him to obtain satisfactory results in all the activities carried out. He played in the groups of Daniele Sepe, Enzo Avitabile, Tony Esposito and Gege Telesforo.
- Peppe La Pusata, a musician of classical percussion, a great admirer of jazz music. He has played with several musicians of national and international fame, including: Enrico Pieranunzi, Pietro Condorelli, Javier Girotto and the Art Ensable of Chicago.
