International Women's Day 2025, open day for women's health

THE8 March 2025, At the International Women's Day, Health District 29 promotes a open day dedicated to women's health. A free initiative, designed to offer prevention and awareness services, accessible without a medical prescription or reservation. The event is organized byUOC Health Protection for Women, Children and Adolescents and by 'UOS Maternal and Child Health Unit, with activities distributed between two clinics:

• Consulting room in via Scudillo in Pietravalle 24-26
• Counselling centre in via San Gennaro dei Poveri, 25

When and how to participate?

The activities will take place Saturday, March 8, 2025, 8:30 am - 14:00 pm. It is sufficient to show up at one of the offices within the 13: 00 to take advantage of the services offered.

Health services offered

During the day, it will be possible to access a wide range of free services, aimed at prevention and protection of women's health:

• Gynecological visits with possible ultrasound examination
• PAP test (for women aged 25 to 29)
• HPV test (for women aged 30 to 64)
• Mammography bookings (for women aged 50 to 69)
• Vaccinations during pregnancy

Free vaccinations available

The open day also includes a series of free vaccinations, aimed at different age groups and conditions:

• Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccine
  • Women from 11 to 18 years, with recovery for those born from 1996
  • Men from 11 to 18 years, with recovery for those born from 2006
  • Free offer even in case of recent treatment for HPV related lesions
• Measles, Rubella, Mumps and Chickenpox Vaccine
  • Available from 12 months of life until childbearing age
• Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine (10-year booster)
  • Recommended for all women of childbearing age
