Giro d'Italia 2025 in Naples. Roads closed on May 15 and traffic device

In view of the sixth stage of the Giro d'Italia 2025, coming to Naples Thursday May 15th, the Municipality has prepared a temporary circulation device to ensure the safe running of the race. The restrictions will affect various areas of the city and will be active from Wednesday 14 to Thursday May 15, especially in the areas affected by the passage of the caravan.

Traffic bans on May 15: times and roads involved

To facilitate the passage of cyclists, from 14: 00 to 18: 00 of the 15st May, is expected on prohibition of vehicular transit in some of the city's main arteries. The affected roads include:

Via Gianturco
Via Reggia di Portici (seaside carriageway)
Via Alessandro Volta (sea side and central)
Via Amerigo Vespucci (sea side and central)
Via Nuova Marina (sea side and central)
Via Cristoforo Colombo (sea side and central)
Via Ferdinando Acton (seaside carriageway)
Via Nazario Sauro
Via Partenope
Piazza Vittoria (access only for residents and authorized persons)

The following will also be suspended: pedestrian crossings along the entire route and the TAXI area in Via Santa Lucia e Dumas Father Street will be temporarily disabled.

Parking restrictions: from Wednesday 14th to Thursday 15th May

From 18:00 May 14th to 18:00 May 15th will trigger the Tow Away Zone in several streets of the center, including:

Via Gianturco, Vespucci, Volta, New Navy
Via Francesco Caracciolo (from Piazza Vittoria to Rotonda Diaz)
Riviera di Chiaia (various sections)
Via Cesario Console
Anton Dohrn Avenue

Some bans will be active until 20:00 e 23:00 of May 15, depending on the roads involved.

Traffic changes and one-way systems

To improve traffic flow in the neighborhoods adjacent to the race course, temporary changes to the direction of travel will be introduced:

Double entendre on Chiatamone Street
One Way in via Aulisio and via Sannazaro

Emergency lanes are also planned for the residents in the most critical areas, such as via Francesco Caracciolo And adjacent areas.

Further restrictions and arrival area

The area of Via Caracciolo, Partenope and Viale Dohrn, where the stage is expected to arrive, will be completely closed to traffic from 5: 00 to 23: 00 of May 15th. The area in front of the piazza del Plebiscito and several ramps and secondary roads will be closed to traffic.

The invitation for all citizens is to use public transport, limit unnecessary travel and consult real-time updates provided by the City of Naples and Local Police.
